Ethiopian and Tunisian government representatives ended a meeting in Addis Ababa on Friday with the signing of two reciprocal investment and tourism promotion and protection agreements. The agreements were signed by Tahar Sioud, the head of the Tunisian delegation, and Mulatu Teshome, the Ethiopian vice minister for economic development and cooperation.
According to the Pan-African News Service, the agreements call on both sides to "encourage protection and security for reciprocal investments, exchange of tourism information and organizing familiarization tours.
During the two-day meeting in the Ethiopian capital, the delegations discussed ways of strengthening economic, scientific, cultural ties and technical cooperation between the two countries. The next Ethiopia-Tunisia will be held in Tunis in 2002. ¯ (Albawaba-MEBG)
