The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) received the Best Bank in Bahrain award for the year 2002 at the annual Euromoney Awards for Excellence. The Bank has previously won this Euromoney award for 2001, 2000, 1999 and 1994.
According to Euromoney, a financial publication, the Best Bank in Bahrain award for excellence was based on analysts and researchers reports that reflected NBB's prominence and distinction in Bahrain.
NBB has been a leading provider of commercial and retail banking services since 1957. Rating agency Moody's has upgraded the Bank's Financial Strength rating to C-, the highest rating given to any local commercial bank in Bahrain. Capital Intelligence has reaffirmed the Bank's Domestic Strength rating of A and Fitch has upgraded the Bank's Long Term rating to BBB, the highest among all local commercial banks in Bahrain. — (menareport.com)
