Firearms Training Systems (FATS) has reported a contract award from an Arab State in excess of two million dollars. The deal marks the first order from the country, whose identity is yet to be revealed by the US-based firm.
Under the terms of the agreement, FATS will provide the purchaser with multiple Small Arms Training Systems, simulated weapons, scenarios and auxiliary components for use in training the country's military and security forces.
FATS is a producer of interactive simulation systems designed to provide a comprehensive range of military and law enforcement training capability including the handling and employment of small and supporting arms, judgmental, tactical, and combined arms.
Last year FATS signed two contracts to supply the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Navy with small arms, antitank weapons and light and heavy machineguns for use in both stationary and simulated shipboard scenarios. The value of the contracts combined is approximately $2.6 million. — (menareport.com)
