Jordan and Kuwait recently signed a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) exempting agriculture, livestock and industrial goods locally produced from customs tariffs, reported Al-Hayat. Other traded commodities are scheduled to enjoy full custom exemption by the year 2005. Ministers of industry and commerce, Salah Eldein Basheer from Jordan and Salah Khorsheed from Kuwait signed the FTA in Amman last week. — (menareport.com)
