French Commercial Attaché, Yves Le Breton, has expressed satisfaction with the results of his meeting with the Business Software Alliance (BSA), where he held discussions with regional Director Jawad Al Redha to review means of cooperation to promote software copyrights, in order to increase French companies trust in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market and encourage them to reinforce their presence in it.
Al-Redha explained BSA procedures and presented ideas to the Commercial Attaché and the accompanying delegation. The two have agreed to conduct joint activities for the public and private sectors in the near future.
The BSA is an international organization representing leading software and e-commerce developers in 65 countries, with presence in the United States, Europe, and Asia. As the voice of the software industry against copyright piracy, the BSA has worked with governments as well as other organizations in the region to counter all forms of copyright infringement. Piracy levels for software and other forms of intellectual property have been dropping steadily over the past years, which has encouraged foreign investments and entrepreneurship in information technology (IT) as well as other domains. — (menareport.com)
