FVC, a leading Value Added Distributor (VAD) in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, has signed a distribution agreement with MASERGY, a global network service provider created to deliver the strongest network experience for expanding mid-size to large enterprises. FVC will offer the company's IP network solutions for video conferencing through its network of channel partners across the Middle East and North Africa region.

"This is an important partnership that enhances the video conferencing solutions we offer from Polycom," said Bruce Withington, Executive Director at FVC. "With video conferencing solutions showing an upswing in the region, local IP networks need to be enhanced to ensure that it can handle the level of traffic it generates. The partnership with MASERGY will do just that."

MASERGY delivers a superior video-grade IP alternative to ISDN transport. Its inCONTROL Video is specifically engineered to deliver guaranteed superior-quality video conferencing at all times, under all network conditions. FVC will be demonstrating the technology at its booth at Gitex where Polycom's Telepresence solution will run on a MASERGY network, enabling live calls to Europe.

"We are pleased to partner with FVC as we expand our high-quality video services in the Middle East," said John Dumbleton, senior vice president at MASERGY. "Demand for telepresence and high-definition video is growing, and we are excited to be part of a team that can help businesses take full advantage of these communication technologies."

Pending TRA approval, the service will be available in the UAE first and expanded to the rest of the Middle East region shortly thereafter.
