GEMS, Global Education Management Systems, a leading education provider in the Middle East, recently announced plans to begin construction for expanding the facilities of four of its Dubai based schools, which offer CBSE curriculum.
Approval has been given by the Ministry of Education, UAE, to begin construction of additional blocks immediately and these will be operational by April 2005. A total of 17 classrooms will be added to The Millennium School, 37 to Our Own English High School and 40 each to Kindergarten Starters and Our Own Indian School.
This new construction would imply a provision of 400 seats for the Millennium School, 850 seats for Our Own English High School and 925 each for Kindergarten Starters and Our Own Indian School.
In addition, a new primary block extension is planned for the Al Khaleej National School, which is expected to be ready by September 2005. This school teaches an American curriculum together with a Ministry of Education syllabus targeting Arabic speaking students who wish to benefit from an English language based programme.
