Getronics, a provider of Information & Communications Technology (ICT) solutions and services, recently announced that it has become Cisco’s sole Gold Partner operating in Saudi Arabia, certified to offer consultancy, support and network integration services.
Getronics was awarded Gold status after a period of assessment by Cisco and independent auditors. Specializing in IP telephony, security, voice and wireless LAN infrastructure, Getronics has been offering network integration, business solutions and managed services in the Middle East since the early 1990s.
The Cisco Gold Partner Certification is one of three levels of certification awarded to Cisco partners. The initial stage, Permier Partner status, is awarded following the attendance of sales and technical training and other minimum requirements. Silver is achieved when a partner has gained expertise in specific Cisco technology and achieved the required level of technical support.
Gold Partners will have achieved expertise in at least three Cisco technology specializations and will have the ability to provide the highest levels of support. Cisco Systems conducts independent audits at the partner site to confirm achievement of all the requirements to achieve gold certification.
Jon Saunders, Unified Channels Manager of Cisco Systems Middle East said: “The Cisco Partner Certification Program was developed to enable customers to select a solution provider with a proven level of skill and expertise.”
Getronics' headquarters is in Amsterdam, with regional head offices in Boston, Singapore and Washington DC. It employs 29,000 people in over 30 countries and has five offices covering the Middle East region, based in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain.
