Senior management of Abu Dhabi National Hotels celebrated outstanding employee performance and the latest company milestones at the ADNH head office recently.

Around 40 senior officials from ADNH’s four divisions attended the ‘Keeping In Touch’ event, a quarterly exercise to share updates on group activities.

Director General Peter Cardnell presented Employee of the Month Awards, including certificates and cash prizes, and congratulated management on excellent half-year results.

He said: “The hospitality sector in the UAE has witnessed tremendous growth in the last few years and its international profile has increased significantly; this trend will continue with major implications for the emergence of Abu Dhabi as a top destination for both business and leisure."

ADNH, which is made up of Sunshine Tours, Al Ghazal Transport, catering business ADNH Compass, and the Al Diar group of hotels, recorded a 26 per cent increase in profits for the first half of 2004.

Cardnell described the successful introduction of Al Ghazal Express taxis and the renovation of both the Abu Dhabi Sheraton and Al Diar Mina hotels as a major boost for continued growth.

He added that the year ahead would see more new hotel openings and renovation completions that will further reinforce ADNH’s position as an internationally respected brand.

Cardnell and Ali Khouri, Deputy Director of Administration and Human Resources, handed out four Employee of the Month Awards at the ‘Keeping In Touch’ event, presenting cash prizes and certificates of appreciation. (menareport.com)
