ALBAWABA - Huawei Technologies, a Chinese multinational digital communications technology conglomerate corporation, announced the launch of its new triple-screen phone on September 10, 2024, according to Bloomberg.
Huawei new trifold phone: Mate XT
The company will unveil its new phone, developed over 5 years, on September 10, shortly after Apple reveals the new iPhone 16, positioning itself in direct competition with Apple.
It is worth noting that the new phone was previously spotted in the hands of Yu Chengdong, CEO of the Consumer BG at Huawei Technologies. The device appeared to feature a triple-screen display.

According to Bloomberg, Chengdong announced the launch event for the new Mate XT to be held on September 10. Chengdong stated that the production of this device took almost 5 years of work and investment. “After five years of investment, we have turned science fiction into a reality,” Chengdong said.
The new Mate XT is expected to measure around 10 inches (25.4 centimeters) and is anticipated to be powered by Huawei's top-tier Kirin 9 series mobile application processor (AP). Huawei is planning to launch the new Mate XT after Apple launches its new iPhone 16 on September 9, as the company is competing strongly with Apple.
On the other hand, Huawei's shares in China increased from 11.3% in the second quarter of 2023 to 15.4% in the same quarter of 2024. While Apple's shares declined from 17.4% to 15.5% over the same period in the country.
