According to <i>Al-Taakhi</i> newspaper, the Iraqi Ministry of Education has recently allocated ID 180 million to rebuild Al-Kashafa football stadium. Education Minister, Sami al-Mudhafar, said that a committee, including representatives of the Education Ministry and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was formed to accelerate the stadium reconstruction process in association with the Iraqi Olympic committee.
The newly formed committee will also promote scholastic sports activities in the stadium. It's worth mentioning that the Al-Kashafa stadium belonged to the Olympic committee during the former Iraqi regime while it belongs now to the ministry of Education.
