Index Cairo, furniture and interior design exhibition taking place at the Cairo International Conference Center (CICC) from June 4-7, 2002, has got a new logo aimed at reflecting the show’s ability to resurrect style. The Resurrection Of Style logo was designed by H Q Graphics of Dubai.
The gold, black and gray logo, uses pyramid and pharaoh-like images to reflect the ancient heritage of Egypt, crafted in modern graphics. “Our designers have brought this about through a synthesis of the Pharaohnic era as a culture and an urban myth. This serves to accentuate the show’s geographic position and the regional growth of the furniture and interiors sector,” explained Ashraf Sharaf, project manager for show organizers dmg Index Exhibitions.
Index Cairo 2002 has recorded double-digit floor space growth compared to last year with exhibitor contracting 15 percent more display area for the event. The exhibition will feature more than 120 companies from 14 countries with first time representation from Palestine and Brazil. Other national group participation is from China, Italy, Malaysia, Korea and Egypt. — (menareport.com)
