Intel today showcased Intel® Software College training throughout the Intel Developer Forum (IDF). The software college makes software and technical trainings available to the software and academic communities worldwide. The program is being brought to the Middle East to ensure that local software developers have access to the latest software technical training on an ongoing basis.

Orchestrated to educate software developers and technology students, Intel Software College encompasses a diverse curriculum of hands on lab sessions, based on Intel architecture and is set to provide students with the tools and know-how to build and create their own technology solutions. The curriculum at Intel Software College covers 32 and 64-bit computing, threading, multi-core, compiling and more.  The courses will be delivered at convenient training locations around the region, selected for their adherence to the highest standards. In addition, Intel Software College offers customised on-site training to fit a customer’s specific needs as well as hundreds of on-demand, self-paced online courses and on-demand webcasts.

“Intel is well positioned to help developers solve software performance issues that relate to Intel architecture.  Not only do our tools provide developers with an inside view of the architectures and operating systems they are developing, they can access the knowledge and expertise needed in getting the best performance out of each specific platform,” said Dave Ryan, Managing Director, Intel EMEA Software Enabling.

By bringing the software college to the region, we can greatly expand the number of software companies that have access to the information they need to deliver the most innovative software. The Intel Developer Forum is an appropriate venue to meet with our software developers and provide an overview of Intel Software College offerings,” he added.

Intel’s Software & Solution Group (SSG) focuses, globally, on developing and promoting comprehensive software development products and services, to educate and enable industry professionals to work with Intel platforms and to help local economies drive the digital revolution. Intel Software College has already helped developers across the world to optimise on Intel architecture by using the appropriate Intel tools to their fullest potential. This proven form of training also offers support and guidance with tested methods of optimising software performance, code samples, tools and troubleshooting techniques, in a strategic move to foster best application performance.

The Intel Software College, announced in the United Arab Emirates, last month, is a global program that offers indepth trainings for the software industry and academic communities.
