Iran’s per capita production of wheat reached 203.44 kilograms this year. The farmers consumption volume (2.5 million tons) was added to the amount purchased by the government (11,131 thousand tons in guaranteed trade), giving a total of 13,631,000 tons as the country’s half year wheat output.
Meanwhile, according to MNA, a recent report said that up to October 25, the Agricultural Ministry has bought 10.2 million tons of wheat from the Iranian farmers. Most of the volume was provided by the farmers of Fars (1.8 million tons), Khorasan (1.1 million tons), Khuzestan (1.04 million tons), and Golestan (1.004 million tons).
Farmers of Kermanshah, Kurdistan, West Azerbaijan, and Hamedan followed, the report added. (menareport.com)
