Iran exported US$1.48 billion worth of agricultural products and industrial food during the last Iranian calendar year of 1383 (ended March 20, 2005). According to IRNA, the value of exported products constituted 23 percent of the country's total non-oil exports.
Iran exported 359,279 tons of dried fruits valued at US$695.5 million, 210,912 tons of fresh fruits worth US$80.9 million, 114,966 tons of different kinds of vegetables valued at US$23.3 million and 30,573 tons of herbal medicines valued at US$124.8 million during the said period.
The country also exported 60,861 tons of agricultural products worth over US$69 million in 1383.
