Iran’s Minister of Oil, Bijan Namdar-Zangeneh in a recent meeting with Japanese executives called for increased investments by Japan in the nation’s oil sector, according to IRNA.
The CEO of Mitsubishi, Nobuyuki Masuda, and Ali-Naqi Khamoushi, head of the Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended the meeting during a recent visit to Iran by a Japanese trade delegation.
The convention was the largest since Iran’s 1979 Islamic revolution. Thirty Japanese executives also participated in the event.
At the meeting, Masuda stated his desire to specifically improve business relations and economic links with Iran. Recently, Japan signed a $10 million protocol to partake in the development of the Iranian Azadegan Oil Field.
Presently, Iran is Japan's third largest oil supplier. –(MENA Report)
