Iran’s annual aluminum output is expected hit 680,000 tons within the Fourth Economic Development Plan (2005-2010).
Head of Iranian Mines and Mineral Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) Mostafa Mo’azzenzadeh said Monday that the current output is estimated at 230,000 tons.
According to MNA, following the government’s decision to sell aluminum companies to the private sector, Almahdi, Arak and Jajarm companies will be privatized respectively within the next development plan. The sector has recently established three aluminum mills in southern Iran.
