Iran exports of dried fruits hit about $390 million

Iran exported 203,953 tons of dried fruits valued at US$391.4 million during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year of 1383 (started March 20, 2004). These exports registered a rise of 9 percent and a  

decrease of 5.5 percent in terms of weight and value, respectively, compared to those of the same period last year, reported IRNA on Wednesday. 

 

Meanwhile, 64,753 tons of raisins valued at US$50 million were exported during the aforesaid period which showed increases of 24.8 and 53 percent in terms of weight and value, respectively, compared to the similar figures in last year.  

 

Additionally, Iran exported 715 tons of almonds valued at $1.9 million during the same period with a drop of 43 percent and a rise of 2.3 percent in terms of weight and value, respectively, compared to the same figures in the first seven months of the previous year. (menareport.com)
