Iran exported 7,627 tons of leather products valued at US$32 million during the first half of the current Iranian year 1383 (started March 20,2004).
The amount of goods exported indicated a drop of 47.7% and 30% in terms of weight and value respectively, compared to the figures in the same period last year, the public relations department of Iran customs office has announced, according to IRIB.
Exports of leather bags and shoes hit $14.344 million during that period, say an increase of 11.8 % compared to the volume exported last year. (menareport.com)
