According to an agreement signed between Iran Shipping Lines and a UAE company, three new shipping lines are in the works, the director general of the shipping department of Bushehr province said in Tehran Saturday, July 28, reported the official Iranian news agency, IRNA.
Speaking at a working session of the tourism group of Bushehr province, Abdolkarim Maleki said that the agreement, signed with the Emirate's Nayef Marine Service last week, would establish three shipping lines that would operate between Bushehr and the neighboring Gulf states.
Iran-UAE business ties have been the least affected by the dispute over three islands in the Gulf captured by Iran in 1971 and claimed by both countries. - (MENA Report)
