ALBAWABA - The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced the resumption of oil loading and exports from the Al-Qayyarah field at a capacity of 33,000 barrels per day.
According to the Iraqi News Agency, Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar said that production, loading, and export operations have resumed from the Al-Qayyarah oil field in the southern Nineveh Governorate on the west bank of Tigris River on Monday.
He estimated the daily capacity at 33,000 barrels, which will be transported via rail lines. Of the total, 30,000 barrels will be exported outside the country to unspecified ports in the Gulf, the minister said.
He said the resumed production will achieve financial revenues for the Iraqi treasury, in addition to sustaining and operating the Al-Qayyarah refinery.
