Iraqi businessmen boost investments in Jordan

According to <i>Al-Sharq Al-Awsat</i> newspaper, statistics issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Commerce and Industry show that the Iraqi investors in Jordan increased their investments in the Kingdom to JD 6.2 million ($8.8 million) in the first two months of the current year, up from JD 1.6 million ($2.3 million) in the corresponding period of the previous year. The same source added that 119 Iraqi investors operated in the Jordanian market in the first two months of the current year compared with 32 Iraqi investors in the same period last year. The Iraqi investments in Jordan totaled JD 23 million by the end of last year.
