Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has left the country on the first leg of an international tour, for a series of meetings in New York with business professionals, Moody’s credit rating company personnel, various investors and government officials, according to a ministry press release.
Among other things, Netanyahu is scheduled to participate in the concluding event celebrating this week's successful bonds offering by the State of Israel. Next Tuesday, Netanyahu will head the Israel team at the Joint Economic Development Group (JEDJ) meeting in Washington.
Netanyahu is then scheduled to arrive in London on Thursday, where he is expected to meet with Prime Minister Tony Blair, Chancellor of the Exchequer (Treasury) Gordon Brown, other investors and representatives of Fitch's credit rating company. — (menareport.com)
