ALBAWABA - Disruptions in communication over the Red Sea have impacted flights, including those of the israeli El Al airlines, bound for destinations like Phuket. Reports indicate that unknown parties attempted to compromise El Al's communication systems mid-flight to Thailand.
Reported by the Hebrew channel "Kan," a concerning security incident unfolded during a flight operated by Israeli airline El Al from Thailand to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
According to the channel, hostile entities allegedly made an attempt to seize control of the aircraft's communication system and divert its course to an alternate destination. The plane managed to land safely in Tel Aviv despite the ordeal.
This issue isn't just hitting the israeli El Al flights; it's causing problems for all israeli planes passing through Red sea.
At the same time, air traffic control sent out a message warning all airlines about these communication issues. Pilots, including those from El Al, are being told to use different ways to stay in touch while flying over there.
Reports suggest that the instructions received by the flight crew could have jeopardized the safety of the aircraft or altered its route to different regions. Additionally, there are indications of a potential hijack attempt post-landing, prompting the crew to switch to an alternative communication network and disregard those directives.
