After months of testing, it is finally here. Instagram announced today that it is officially launching multi account support.

A feature that many have been waiting for, the photo sharing social media app, now allows users to maintain more than one account on the same device. This is especially due to the rise of profiles dedicated to businesses, pets and any number of other things.

To use multiple accounts, the process is pretty simple. Once the app is updated, users can go to the settings menu, and add new accounts. Once that is done, users can just tap the username at the top of their profile to move between them. In order to take away the confusion, the user’s profile photo of the active account will be placed more prominently throughout the app.

Instagram first tested the account switching feature on Android devices back in November, and had iOS following in tow a couple months later. As of this week, users of both the operating systems will be getting the new option of profile switching.
