Jordanian exports manufactured in the Al-Hassan Industrial Estate reached $65.5 million in the first quarter of 2002, reported the official Petra news agency. 78.68 percent of the Estate’s exports were comprised of knitted products, 13.84 percent were engineering industry products and 3.87 percent were veterinary pharmaceuticals.
Jordan’s Irbid chamber of commerce manages the zone, which is the largest among the Kingdom’s four industrial estates. Irbid aims at boosting joint ventures with Israel in line with the peace treaty signed between the two states seven years ago. — (menareport.com)
