Jordan’s income tax earnings up by 20 percent

Statistics released by the Jordanian treasury authorities show that the value of the collected income and profit taxes grew to 173 million Jordanian Dinars ($244 million) in the first 10 months of the current year, up from JD 144 million during the corresponding period in the previous year, a 20.4 percent rise, reported Al-Rai. The income and profit taxes during this period constituted 84.6 percent of the expected income and profit tax revenues for the entire year of 2001. — (menareport.com)
