Jordan 2004 inflation rate to hit 3.5%

The Jordanian Planning Ministry predicted inflation to reach 3.5 percent for 2004. According to Petra news agency, it added that the inflation rate reached 3.4 percent in the first 10 months of the current year, compared to 2.1 percent in the same period of 2003. 

 

A report by the Ministry's Policies and Research  

Department indicated that the hike in prices came due to a rise in the prices of a number of commodities and other services by 5 percent, food items by 4.3 percent and household expenditure by 1.9 percent. (menareport.com)
