With a renewed focus on Gulf markets being driven by some of Jordan’s leading software, content development and technology solution integration companies, ten members of Jordan’s int@j are coming together to drive new opportunities at the GITEX technology exhibition.

The show, held from October 13-17, 2002, marks the second time that int@j

has taken a presence at the show. “Jordan’s ICT sector is positioned to deliver remarkable expertise for customers in the Gulf region, built upon best practice work undertaken for

customers in Europe, the US and other world markets,” said int@j CEO Ra’ed Bilbessi.

“Jordanian companies are already building leading edge solutions for customers in the Gulf and we’re looking forward to showing how we can provide cost-effective expertise to customers in the region.”

Companies taking part in the int@j pavilion at GITEX will include: e-dimension, Eskadenia Software Solutions, Estarta Solutions, int@j, Integrated Technology Group, Jordan Telecom, Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT), OFFTEC, TIS Group, and WAMAD IT Services Co.

“The int@j pavilion at GITEX 2002 showcases the kingdom’s most advanced technology companies while offering regional and international visitors with clear insight on Jordan’s current product and services capabilities,” said Marwan Juma, Chairman of int@j.

“Jordanian companies today provide turn-key solutions to some of the world’s biggest organizations and our participation at GITEX 2002 enables us to demonstrate this capability to companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).”

int@j, the Information Technology Association of Jordan, is directly responsible for overseeing the creation, promotion and growth of a vibrant technology sector that will be a key investment driver for businesses looking to take advantage of the Kingdom’s unique free trade opportunities. — (menareport.com)
