The Jordanian government will soon submit a financial and technical proposal to the Jordanian Phosphate Mines Company in order to asses the potential for the privatization of the company before the end of 2001, Al-Hayat reported.
After the assessment, the company will pass all documents to the privatization committee who will then choose one of the five company’s competing for the bid to be the Company’s financial consultant.
Sources anticipate the evaluation process to last four to eight weeks. Privatization is expected to commence shortly after. The consultant will learn and evaluate the company’s conditions, and will recommend the best method for re-organizing their finances. — (menareport.com)
