Despite his usual manner of staying behind the scenes, the advisor to the Moroccan King Mohammed the 6th, Andray Azolay, has played a key role in the privatization process of the Maroc Telecom company, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
The privatization was set in motion with the purchase 35 percent of the shares in the Moroccan Telecommunication Company (Maroc Telecom) by the French Vivendi Universal group, for the sum of $2.3 billion.
Despite his major contribution to this deal, Azolay related this accomplishment to successful teamwork and coordination between the palace and the government. King Mohammed the 6th himself supervised the Maroc Telecom privatization plan. _(Albawaba-MEBG)
