A recently published economic report by the National Bank of Kuwait shows that the Kuwaiti General Budget recorded a 1.15 billion Kuwaiti Dinar ($3.7 billion) surplus in the first half of 2001/2002 fiscal year, reported Al-Bayan. This figure translates into a KD 783 million decrease compared with the budget surplus recorded in the first half of the previous fiscal year.
