Kuwait: Hike in investment land prices

A report, released by the Institute of Banking Studies under the topic: "Indexes of Local Prices and Rents 2005", said the price of investment land in most Kuwaiti areas, except in Al-Shark, Jellib Al-Shioukh, Al-Jahra and Kuwait City, dropped in 2005, while that of commercial land rose in all areas.

 

According to Kuna, the hike in investment land prices in Kuwait City, Jellib Al-Shioukh and Al-Shark posted 30.6 percent, 32.8 percent and 38.5 percent respectively.

 

Last year, investment, commercial and housing land average rents edged up to KD 1.700 per square meter in Al-Andalus, KD 1.950 in Al-Jabria, KD 2.200 in Abu Halifa and KD 3.720 in Kuwait City, the report indicated.
