The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development recently awarded a 20 million Kuwaiti Dinar ($65 million) loan to Lebanon, reported Al-Hayat . The loan will be used to finance the Litani River water irrigation project. The system will carry 110 million cubic meters of water to surrounding areas in Southern Lebanon annually and will be executed through two phases valued at KD 140 million ($456 million), of which 14 percent will be contributed by the Kuwaiti fund. — (menareport.com)
