Lebanese IT companies plan to expand activities in regional market

Leading Lebanese IT companies have unveiled plans to aggressively penetrate the Middle East IT market using their presence at GITEX Dubai 2004, the region's largest IT trade show. This was announced in a press conference  

held October 2, 2004 in Dubai, attended by Eng. Mohammad Fouad Hamdan, President and Director General, OGERO Telecom, the leading telecommunications provider in Lebanon working under the umbrella of Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunication, who is present at GITEX Dubai to showcase the Lebanese IT industry strengths to the high profile visitors to GITEX to be held from October 3 to 7 at Dubai International Exhibition Centre.  

 

Addressing the press conference, Eng. Hamdan said: "Lebanese software industry, which is mainly export-based has grown at an estimated rate of 10-20 per cent every year with most of the exports destined for the GCC Countries."
