Cedar-wood log cabin producer Shore and Mountain Resorts of Lebanon is on the brink of taking on-site trial orders worth a total of $1.5 million from hotels in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan and expects another $550,00 in follow-on orders, according to a press release issued by Arabian Travel Market 2002, the Middle East’s travel and tourism show, will continue at the Airport Expo Dubai until Friday night, May 10, 2002.
“We have also received interest at the show from a French buyer who is looking at ordering 100 cabins. The interest is in one and two-bedroom cabins ranging from 55-75 square meters each. The hotels want to test-market them and if they are successful, they will initiate major refurbishment using the cabins,” said Nicholas Mobayed, chairman of Shore & Mountain Resorts, which is planning to open a sales office in Dubai to service the Gulf. — (menareport.com)
