Lebanese air cargo operator Trans Mediterranean Airways (TMA) recently began operating from Sharjah International Airport using an Airbus A310-300F. TMA's strategic plan is to enhance its operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The carrier operates three routes from Sharjah, to Paris via Beirut, Nairobi via Eldoret, and to Entebbe, again via Eldoret. TMA’s carrier facilities at Beirut International Airport would be increasingly used as a transshipment base where 120,000 tons can be handled annually.

Established in 1953, TMA is a scheduled cargo service linking the Arab World to Europe, the Far East and North America. It is an active member of the International Air Transport Association especially in cargo activities, and is a founding member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization. — (menareport.com)
