The Kadhafi Foundation headed by a son of Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi said on Wednesday, October 24 that it has sent a shipment of humanitarian goods and a donation of $100,000 for Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

The shipment of 15,000 tents, 5,000 blankets and 500 tons of rice has arrived in the Pakistani towns of Quetta and Peshawar, said an official of the foundation headed by Seif al-Islam Kadhafi. He told AFP the donation was made through the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and that more aid shipments for refugees from the US-led attacks on Afghanistan would follow.

Libya has condemned the September 11 terror attacks on the United States, but Kadhafi on Tuesday slammed the retaliatory US strikes on Afghanistan's ruling Taliban for harbouring prime suspect Osama bin Laden. — (AFP, Tripoli)
