In a world flooded with smartphones with features that are upgraded each week, with in-built camera competing with the traditional cameras, and graphics allowing any high-end games to be played, an anti-smartphone has been launched.
Called the Light phone, it is just that- LIGHT. This anti-smartphone was devised to perform only two functions - to make calls and receive them. It is the size of a credit-card, can easily fit into your wallets and is available in two colours - white and night.
On the Light phone, you cannot send text messages, access your WhatsApp or check your social media pages. As the founders say, the phone is designed to be used "as little as possible."
Their website reads: 'enjoy simple contact without the unwanted rings, dings and pings.'
You can order a Light phone at $150 plus $5 per month for a SIM card and Light's software platform.
