L.J. Hooker ties up with Abu Dhabi's United Group Holdings

A new company established by Abu Dhabi's United Group Holdings (UGH) and Australia's L.J. Hooker plans to capture a share of the region's growing real estate market. An agreement to form the new franchise company was inked on Sunday by John Elvy, director (international business development) of L.J. Hooker and Saeed Al Meqbali, general manager of UGH.

 

L.J. Hooker opened its first office in Sydney in 1928 and since then expanded. 

In 2002 L.J. Hooker opened its first offices in Indonesia. 2003 saw growth of the network in New Zealand. In 2004, the company expanded further internationally, opening up operations in Shanghai in China.

 

Today, L.J. Hooker boasts an annual turnover in excess of $ 25 billion, and is placed 5th in the world in terms of size.
