More than 80 leading British security agencies attended a Middle East Police and Law Exhibition & Conference (MEPLEX) seminar held in London recently to promote the large-scale event, which takes place this October in Dubai, confirmed a press release.

The companies were invited to the seminar in order to promote the MEPLEX Trade Partners UK official subsidy. The event included presentations from the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers; Trade Partners UK; Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and MEPLEX organizers.

The seminar also highlighted the region’s continuous efforts towards securing public safety and security, a priority highlighted with regional interior ministries, police departments and law enforcement agencies of the Middle East following last year’s tragic events in New York.

Set to be the region’s meeting platform designed specifically for government police and law enforcement agencies, MEPLEX will be held this October 6-9, 2002 under the patronage of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, United Arab Emirates Defense Minister and Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police Department.

"The concept is to provide an interactive forum that allows regional security agencies and police forces to exchange information with experts on security issues in the conference, view the latest equipment and services in the exhibition, watch them being demonstrated and then test them during workshops with suppliers," stated Director of Streamline Marketing, Nick Webb

Held at the Dubai Police Academy, MEPLEX also has the support of Trade Partners UK; The Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers and the Defense Manufacturers Association (DMA). — (menareport.com)
