ME oil & gas conference to discuss gas ventures

The Second Annual Middle East Oil and Gas Conference, under the theme of "Cooperative Ventures and Gas Potential: New Driving Forces", is to take place on June 19-20 at the Omni Houston Hotel in Houston, Texas.  


The conference will discuss means of further opening the energy sector in the Middle East and the trend toward developing the considerable gas resources of the area. It will also touch upon the latest developments and investment opportunities of the area, and will include a wide range of speakers from international companies of the Middle East who will address technical and political issues.  


Among the addresses will be those of H.E. Issam Al-Chalabi—the former Iraqi Oil Minister, Walid Khadduri—the Editor-in-Chief of MEES, Ambassador Richard Murphy—Senior Fellow for the Middle East, Council of Foreign Relations and Ambassador Robert Pelletreau—Partner of Afridi & Angell.  


Additional speakers will include Khaldoon Al-Mubarak—Projects Manager of UAE Offsets Group, Ahmed Al-Arbeed—Chairman and Managing Director of Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company, and Adam Sieminski—Senior Global Oil and Gas Strategist of Deutsche Bank. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
