Microsoft Middle East-South Gulf has received an appreciation award from Sharjah Women's College, the organizer of the first Information Technology (IT) competition for Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) students across the Emirates.
The award is in recognition of Microsoft's support for the competition, as well as for its donation of Microsoft software packages for winners. The award ceremony took place on February 4, and was hosted and organized by Sharjah Women's College.
“This competition was an initiative toward fostering talents and interests in information technology, programming and problem solving. Our main objective was to encourage the students who have an interest and inclination in this area and we have certainly achieved that. We had the opportunity to witness some of the brightest students in the UAE in action,” according to Ged Ryan, head of Career Programs and Chief Information Officer, HCT. — (menareport.com)
