The Moroccan city of Mohammedia is restoring its green areas in preparation for the first Flower Festival, which is planned to take place in the city during August 2005. Among the main green areas that are now going through extensive renovation works is the public garden near the city’s railway-station, which has long been neglected. These environmental renovation works will reach their peak in August with the inauguration of the city’s first Flower Festival, with collaboration of “Morocco-Holland: 400 years” Foundation.
Le Matin reports that the festival will actually be held as part of the Year of Morocco events 2005 in Holland and the celebrations of 400 years of bilateral relations between the two countries.
