The Municipality of Dubai reported that it has supervised constructing 570 residential and office buildings in Dubai during the last quarter of 2001, reported Al-Hayat . Investments in these buildings totaled 2.7 billion Emirati Dirhams ($750 million). Local real estate sources predict three billion dollars to be invested in real estate projects in Dubai during 2002. The municipality is presently supervising constructing 4,081 other buildings including 10,000 apartments and 188 stores. — (menareport.com)
