Nakheel, the UAE=based property developer, is in the process of restructuring its management team across its portfolio of projects as part of ongoing developments.
In order to enhance customer focus and delivery, and to prepare for the next stage of growth and profitability, each Nakheel project will now act as an autonomous strategic business unit complete with its own management, budget, and team. Each of Nakheel's projects will see the appointment of its own General Manager, who will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The announcements of these appointments will be made shortly.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman Nakheel said, "Nakheel has grown significantly over the past few years to become one of the largest real estate developers in the world. We have made great strides with the successful sales launch of projects such as The Palm, Jumeirah and The Palm, Jebel Ali, in addition to the completion of quality projects such as The Gardens, Dragon Mart at International City, and Ibn Battuta Mall.
"This restructuring will allow greater focus on the individual needs of each project. Each of our projects is unique, and therefore demands a very different approach. The creation of leaner and flatter structures will maximise our customer focus, create greater coherence, and enable each project to reach its full potential. With each project acting as its own business unit, we will be in the best position to react quickly to market changes and customer requirements.
"Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world, and its premier development company needs to be fully equipped to not only maintain pace with, but also drive, such dramatic growth. These are exciting times for both Nakheel and Dubai."
