The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has deployed a backup solution in partnership with the Middle East's enterprise storage leader, STME. NBAD's new investment enables the United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s financial services provider to protect its corporate information, including customer transactions, consumer banking applications and e-mails, across the bank's selected branches in Abu Dhabi.
National Bank of Abu Dhabi has been founded by the UAE government in 1968, and had since become the Emirates leading bank in terms of total assets, deposits and branch network, with the largest branch and ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) network in the country. NBAD also operates 13 overseas branches in Egypt, Oman, Sudan, UK, France and Bahrain (OBU).
