The Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs decided to allocate fixed monthly
allowances of 130,000 Dinars to the unemployed registered in the employment offices, until the ministry will provide them an appropriate work opportunity, reported <i>Al-Bayan</i> newspaper.
The Iraqi minister of labor and social affairs, Mrs. Layla Abd al-Latif, announced a new program aims at halting the growing unemployment rate. The program includes employment of 627,000 unemployed Iraqis after they participate in professional courses to acquire the needed skills. The courses will include computer knowledge, English, carpentry, turning, smithery and other crafts.
