A total of 10 dilapidated houses in Tubli, Bahrain have been surveyed for reconstruction on priority. Houses in the area are in a bad shape, and worse, much older than traditional or heritage buildings, revealed the survey by the head of the Health and Environment Committee of the Central Municipal Council, Abbas Mahfoodh, and an engineer from the Ministry of Works and Housing.

According to Bahrain Tribune, the survey was part of the preparations to assess the damage to a second batch of 100 houses and to attend to the ones needing urgent repairs. The project follows orders of the Bahraini King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to reconstruct and renovate old houses in all the five governorates.
