InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s most global hotel company, announced the appointment of John Lagos as general manager of the InterContinental Hotel Abu Soma in Egypt.
The Australian, who is fluent in English, Greek and Italian and capable in Arabic, French and Russian, started his hospitality career in 1970 at the Menzies Hotel in Sydney, Australia. Building up experience in managerial positions in hotels in countries including Vietnam, Greece, United Arab Emirates, Russia, Latvia, U.S. and New Zealand, Lagos is thrilled to the challenge of being based in a new market.
